Founder’s Notes: The Big Release

Welcome to Founder's Notes—a casual space where I share updates, reflections, and behind-the-scenes moments from Innovative School of Health. These posts aren't meant to be formal; they're meant to be honest, human, and informative, giving you a clearer look at what's happening beyond the desk.

I know, I know—two weeks, what in the world? Tyrone, did you fall off the face of the map? Well… kinda. I went missing for a short time because, I mean, just woah. Do you not see all the changes on the site alone?! There have been a lot of changes, and if you can see the changes just on the site, I can only ask that you imagine the work we’ve been doing here in the Innovative Labs. Ugh, I tell you, my allergies act up with how passionate my team is. But here’s the thing: the more changes—especially big changes—that occur, the more they pull me away from here, because changes start at the top of most companies, then trickle down. That’s not to take any credit that isn’t mine, because my team is phenomenal, but it does require me to be more hands-on, attend more meetings, and do more quality testing.

The biggest news is that we have officially dropped No Names Just Vibes, an Innovative podcast. Yes, it’s a double entendre, being that it’s from Team Innovative, from the deep cavern of the Innovative Labs, and the podcast has a twist to it that I'm told no other known podcast is doing. What is this Innovative twist, you ask? Well, you’ll have to discover that on your own and comment below. I assure you it’s an actual Innovative twist and not something generic. I’m so happy this moment has come; it was one of the things I've been waiting to release.

Secondly, we have made major improvements and quality-of-life updates to the overall brand. From brand recognition, site upgrades, and compatibility on more devices (something schools of this type don’t care to do because of cost) to improvements to our INNOVATIVE LIVE Q&A, and so much more. In saying this, consider it the Innovative Brand Update 2.0.

So what’s next? Well, I’d like to look into grant possibilities so we can speed up our timeline. The next major steps are costly, and we are officially dead set on which program will launch next. If you ever wonder why small schools sell out, it’s because unless you grow promptly, it’s not sustainable to keep up with the constant demand of society’s changes. In saying that, we need to continue this trajectory.

The beauty is that we’re a long way off from ever closing, but as the Executive Director, it’s always my job to ensure these doors remain just that. I’m glad I've had the time to write this update at 13:37 on a Tuesday in front of my glass desk, listening to Jay Chou's “Simple Love.” These moments make me feel in touch and grounded. Until next time.

Thanks for taking the time to read. As always, your feedback is welcome, and I appreciate you being part of the Innovative School of Health community.

ED,

Tyrone W.
