Founder’s Notes: Letting Your Voices Be Heard

Welcome to Founder's Notes—a casual space where I share updates, reflections, and behind-the-scenes moments from Innovative School of Health. These posts aren't meant to be formal; they're meant to be honest, human, and informative, giving you a clearer look at what's happening beyond the desk.

You know what oddly pairs well together? A nice bowl of stew for breakfast and Utada Hikaru... for those who don't know, she's a Japanese singer most notably known for her contribution to the massively popular game Kingdom Hearts. I recommend you listen to Sanctuary, a beloved favorite amongst gamers. Yes, I am a part-time gamer when I'm not suiting it up working.

Okay, update. My team and I have been considering this for some time, and with notable concerns thrown my way, I ultimately decided to give the green light to just do it. Growing up, I've always seen my mother face everything with ease at face-value. I always wondered how she handled everything so well. Throughout life watching her, I've developed this same useful skill that has come in handy. I told my team let's add a live rating system, no hiding what students who have experienced our services are saying.

The intent is authenticity and transparency, which is the very foundation I've decided to push this institution towards when I became the Executive Director; there were concerns at the beginning and pushback. At the beginning of my tenor, I was slow at making particular change due to not shaking up the phenomenal initial foundation this institution was developed on. Two days ago we added the Google reviews directly to the site. So if anyone says anything phenomenal, which is the hope, then the Innovative Community will see this. This very sentence is in my bio on the homepage: "As the Executive Director, I promise to lead with openness and authenticity," and I intend to keep this promise so as long as I'm fortunate to lead this institution.

You all inspire me, you so do, more than you'll understand. I've been there; I've had a rough start, and nothing in life, even in present times, nothing comes easy, but seeing you strive and force life to your dreams is phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you. In saying, please go ahead and post your review. I'd like to read them so we can understand what we're doing right and what we may improve on. Your feedback does not go unheard by me, nor future students that rely on your words to make a sound choice. Until next time, I wish you all a glorious day.

Thanks for taking the time to read. As always, your feedback is welcome, and I appreciate you being part of the Innovative School of Health community.

ED,

Tyrone W.
